My LTD is as new in condition.... with as little as 50,000 miles / 80,000 km on it.

The color now is black metallic but when it rolled off the factory in Boston it was dark metallic green. It is equipped with a Landau roof (Leather imitation) still in perfect condition. The frame and underside of the body are painted black and then waxcoated.
No rust whatsoever.
The interior is MintGreen all over with mahogany tree / silver parts.

I think this is the only LTD Landau 1979 in Sweden.

If not send me a mail and tell me about your -79 LTD mail I will be glad to hear from other LTD owners.

My LTD is the same model, year and color as they drive in

Suck my tailpipe
Backside of my LTD

This is the side of my LTD other drivers see when I am "stepping on it".
The silent roar of 302 cubic inches V8 engine is music to my ears. And it gets the car going surprisingly fast and easy. No street racer but still good for a 22 year old car.

" Ford is Best "

How i got hold of this vehicle is a long story but I will try to keep it short.

My LTD was exported brand new 1980 from US to Belgium. There it was driven by some Corporate President for a few years. Then a Ford enthusiast bought it for his collection of German Fords. He used it only to drive on special occasions. One spring day in year 2000 he got the idea of selling the LTD.   My wife's cousin gets the word that this car is for sale in Belgium and that it is in good shape. He then asks me, the "Ford lover", if I am interested in buying it ? The car was low priced but since I live in Sweden, 3000 km / 1875 miles from Belgium, I had to buy it whithout seeing it. After a few days of hard thinking I said "what the hell" lets do it. You might know how I felt when, we after many (pfone calls we were )  finally able to get the LTD from the harbor in Sweden. Luckily both   my wife and I loved the car from the first moment ! After some modifications the LTD is now Swedish citizen.

A special thanks to Lennart for all the help.
